Prep notes tell the kitchen or keeper teams how to prepare the diets. On the Edit Diets screen, they are in the bottom middle. On diet cards, they are printed below the foods.

Examples would be:

• Keep diet frozen
• Thaw before feeding
• Write animal name on boxes
• If no mealworms, send superworms instead

These are different from line notes which are specific to a food (chop in 1/2, cut lengthwise, etc.). These appear in blue to the right of a food on diet cards and in the touchscreen.

Prep notes are different for individual vs group diets – be sure if your animal is in a group, that you are adding notes to the group prep notes, not the individual prep notes.
