Deleting records
The short answer is…you can’t. These are animal records. Even if you no longer have that animal, it is still part of your institutional records.
Why can’t you delete diets? You may get another member of that species in the future and want to refer to that previous diet as reference. Mark the diet as Not “Active” instead.
Why can’t you delete foods? Historic foods may be listed on historic diets. Mark the feed as “Not Active” instead.
Why can’t you delete animals? Because those animals were part of historic diets.
While you can delete container types, parks, areas, delivery containers, and groups, think carefully about the ripple effects of that. It may be best to rename them to (INACTIVE – enclosure name) rather than delete them to avoid leaving blanks in historical records.
